We first brewed Volta in 2017 as we took baby steps into the world of sours! Volta is a 4.1% kettle sour with plenty of wheat, fresh rhubarb, blood orange purée and fresh orange zest! We now brew it seasonally anticipating the rhubarb harvest each winter. Fun Volta fact: West Yorkshire is home to the Rhubarb Triangle; a nine-square-mile area between Wakefiled, Morley and Rothwell where fuchsia pink rhubarb is picked by candlelight between January and March each year. The rhubarb used in Volta is sourced from E. Oldroyd & Sons in Rothwell who have harvested rhubarb using this method for five generations.
