Behind this beer
After receiving some freshly emptied bourbon barrels direct from Balcones Distillery in Texas we were itching to brew something big, dark and ridiculous. The obvious answer was to give our friend Henok from Omnipollo a ring and ask if he fancied helping us conjure something up. After almost 2 years of aging we decided it was time to take out the beer and lightly enhance it with coconut, hazelnut and vanilla so as to not get too much in the way of the barrel character.
Tasting notes
Thick, rich and smooth. Aromas of whiskey, vanilla, fudge cake, port wine, coconut and hazelnut. Intense sweetness that completely masks any alcohol character.

Golden Promise, Roasted Barley, Carafa Special 1, chocolate malt, pale chocolate malt, Brown malt, Coconut, hazelnut, vanilla.
