IT WAS DEVASTATING TO HAVE TO CANCEL HOP CITY 2020 (WE REMAIN HOPEFUL OF BEING ABLE TO BRING IT BACK IN SOME CAPACITY LATER IN THE YEAR). HOWEVER, OUR ANNUAL COLLABORATIONS WITH OUR FRIENDS FROM ACROSS EUROPE AND THE US LIVE ON.
We’d already started discussing multiple recipes and those involved were unanimously in favour of seeing these through to fruition, even if they couldn’t attend themselves.
We teamed up with some of the most exciting breweries in Europe right now in the shape of Garage (Spain), Brouwerij Frontaal (Netherlands) and Pastore (UK) to work on this refreshing spring sour IPA. We led with 100g/l of the stone fruits peach and apricot, and backed these up with mango, cinnamon and vanilla pods as well as maltodextrin for body and mouthfeel. We blended this fruited kettle sour with an IPA packed with oats and wheat and dry-hopped with Azacca to complement the stone fruit character and bring notes of melon and passion fruit.
