Origin is a collaboration of independent businesses, joining forces to turn the perception of coffee beers on its head. Our Single Estate Latte Pale Ale is a delicious meeting of some of the finest brewing and coffee roasting minds in the industry.
After brewing with Heist in 2022, we invited them over to Farsley for the brew day on this unique beer, and along for the ride were Leeds coffee legends North Star.
Origin pours a hazy burnished gold. Heady aromas of tangerine and lemongrass release as you swirl the glass and the Cashmere hops burst to life. Take a deeper sniff and the kiwi and pineapple notes come to the fore. Produced on the Aquiares Estate, in the Turrialba region of Costa Rica, it’s the Centroamericano coffee variety that is now the star of the show and in complete control ( If you want to go real deep check out the full details here).
The coffee hit continues with first sip delivering further tropical notes giving way to a caramel rush, before rounding out with a delicious vanilla sweetness and a latte smoothness from the addition of milk sugar. A proper swirl-able beer that blends the worlds of coffee and beer but in a way that will surprise the pants off you!
