We finish our west coast tour with another hop-forward classic, as we turn things up a notch for this WC Double IPA. Simcoe and Columbus combine for a ripe, dank aroma with notes of pine and black pepper and we counter this with one of the newer, often unsung US varieties Bru-1 for juicy candied pineapple and orange zest notes. A base of pilsner malt with some dextrin and flaked oats gives a full, crisp mouthfeel with a long, pithy bitterness on the finish.
