For Alex, a skilled craftsperson on the waltz, honest simplicity, gentle pearls and a rustic taste count when it comes to beer. “A beer like a roof truss,” he always says, swearing by the pale country beer from Pyras.
The Pyrasers brew 15 year-round beers, plus seven popular seasonal beers. A nice palette! But the “Helle” steadfastly asserts its place as the front runner in the country brewery.
It still makes up a quarter of all beers sold today. In the traditional family business, people like to make their own decisions and so it is quite “logical” that this “light” comes across as a little different from what you are used to.
In technical terms, this means: it is brewed a little more in the south of Franconia than in the deep south of Bavaria. You can taste it: beautifully malty, with a fine, tart finish. "It is precisely the variety of products that makes the enthusiastic fans of our country beer so steadfastly committed to this beer", says the owner Marlies Bernreuther, who despite her youth is already an experienced brewery boss:
"It has become a typical after-work beer: Now it's quiet, now I'll treat myself to something!"
