Why does this beer have a first name? Because we want to commemorate a very special person who is inextricably linked to our brewery. With Josef Sailer, the Sailer family's story at the Hofbräuhaus Traunstein began in 1896, a story we continue to this day.

Not least with this harmonious, mild, light bock beer, whose light caramel and delicate hop notes make up its harmonious character.

Since 2014, this historic beer has been brewed again in our brewery and has since gained numerous fans. Like its dark sibling bock beer "Maximilian," "Josef" is a true pleasure beer with craft beer character and the ideal accompaniment to good food.

Deep golden color. Strength and volume shape its distinctive character: harmonious, exciting and elegant, rounded off by fresh hop notes.
