It is brewed traditionally from local ingredients (malt is sourced from local Kroměříž Malthouse), employing decoction, open fermentation and long maturation in cellars at temperatures just below 1°C. Quite uniquely, this is a single hopped beer, employing only the famous Medium Early red Saaz hops. This together with triple hopping grants the beer a delicate bitterness that disappears from the palate at the right time.
