First brewed to celebrate our fifth birthday, we’re bringing back Granny’s Mix for our decade anniversary.
Northern Monk only exists because of a grandparent. We were able to start up because of a £5,000 gift, the funds that started our business. This is not the only contribution Granny made to Northern Monk though... She gave us our first opportunity to experiment with flavours and tastes.
Always having an extensive selection of juices and sodas in the house, she’d encourage our co-founder, her grandson, Russ, to make mixes of them to create his own drink. However, it was the mixes Granny made herself that were always the best. And the best Granny’s Mix was Pineapple Juice and Ginger Beer.
Now, back for the first time since 2018, Granny’s Mix returns, a Pineapple and Ginger IPA.
We also wanted to give the label something more. We recruited one of our latest Patron’s Projects collaborators, Bobbi Abbey, to give Granny’s Mix a makeover in his unique style.
