It’s stonefruit city for the end of summer, and the team at the Old Flax Store have got another approachable yet complex Hazy Pale ale for September’s release.

A pillowy malt base lays the foundations for Idaho 7 Cryo, which has a soft pine note but big stonefruit flavour and aromas that are much harder to miss. Backed up by Nectaron, for its namesake nectarine aroma and Nelson Sauvin for some crisp white grape to brighten everything even further.

Drinkability is the aim here. But that doesn’t have to mean simplicity.

September sees the changing of the seasons everywhere, but at the Old Flax Store it means we can step away from the super tropical notes of summer and land on the soft stonefruit flavours of Idaho 7 Cryo.

It has a soft pine note to it, but its sweeter side is pulled out with the help of Nectaron and Nelson Sauvin.

Another highly drinkable Hazy Pale from Ads and the team.

5.3% ABV // 25 IBU // 10 EBC // 1.055 OG // 440ML

INGREDIENTS: Water, Malted BARLEY (GLUTEaN), OATS (GLUTEN), WHEAT (GLUTEN), Hops, Yeast

August’s Fresh From release from the Old Flax Store team features a heady mix of potent Azacca CGX, a cryogenically processed hop pellet full of ripe mango juiciness, with Riwaka’s soft citrus notes and Chinook’s piney backbone.

As the original home of Northern Monk, the Old Flax Store has produced some of our most innovative and impactful beers; nowadays the team there are quietly making some of the most well-executed, complex Pale Ales we release – and this beer is no exception.
