Our most ambitious barrel-aged stout to date, Empire is a triple barrel-aged beer that has undergone successive aging in bourbon, rum, and maple syrup barrels. • Each stage of the aging process adds another layer of depth, from the oaky, whiskey-driven backbone to the sweetness of rum and the final rich maple influence. • Unlike our other adjunct-heavy stouts, Empire is pure, relying entirely on the barrels to develop its flavor. It’s an incredibly complex beer, reminiscent of bourbon-drenched pancakes, with evolving layers of warmth, spice, and sweetness.
