A revamp of a Garage classic which was originally inspired by Crema Catalana. This incarnation of No Country is a rich, chocolatey imperial stout that doesn’t go into pastry levels of sweetness. We have massively increased the amount of Madagascan Vanilla beans and tripled the quantity of coffee which is supplied by our coffeee roasting amigos at Three Marks Coffee. Adding Demerara Sugar to the kettle and given an extensive boil mimics that Flambé effect of a Crema Catalana. But make no mistake, this beer isn’t all about the additions. The grist is a straight up, big and bold Imperial Stout with layered roasted and crystal malts and packed out with oats giving a seriously smooth body that carries all of those lovely flavours of chocolate, dried fruits, caramel and a hint of liquorice. This is all balanced out by a satisfying bitterness that keeps everything in check. One to drink now or to store in the cellar for enjoying when the mood fits.
