Imperial Stout with Coffee, Cacao, Vanilla and Tonka, Aged in Bourbon Barrels, 10.9%
Having spent time in bourbon barrels, this has the most familiar flavour profile among the Imperial Stouts we’re releasing this Christmas. Unlike the others, it veers away from a fruit-forward expression towards notes of caramelised sugar, treacle toffee and rich fruit cake instead. Vanilla, coconut and a light smokiness develop more towards the finish, which displays boozy warmth but stays smooth and rounded.
