We aged this beer in cognac barrels for a while.
A powerful Imperial stout that reminds you of a chocolate dessert. The beer is dark in color with aromas of chocolate, caramel and vanilla.
How does beer lagering work?
The so-called barrel aging stands for the maturing of beer in a wooden barrel. Because the barrels once contained a certain type of spirit, the wood has its own character. This creates beautiful beers with a new taste palette. Think of vanilla or other sweet flavors in combination with aromas from the wood.
