An outrageous find in our friends barn- the original version of 'Bommen & Granaten' 15.2% epic barleywine. The first ever version was bottled in 75cl bottles, this is the second edition and 1st time in 33cl size. When we tried it we were blown away, the body is still rich, with marmalade and toffee, and the age has brought amazing Oloroso sherry notes, but the beer does not taste tired, more of a proper aged beer. Menno may well have been right with his prediction of drinks well for 25 years!
