Saint Brandarius Whisky comes from Isle of Schylge, the whisky bottling plant on Terschelling. They import whisky from Islay, after which it matures for a second time in barrels on the island. The Saint Brandarius whiskies have a slightly smoked taste of peat and an intense taste due to the second maturation.
We have brewed a beautiful Imperial stout and let it mature for 18 months on these whisky barrels. So expect besides the strong tones of coffee and chocolate of the stout a beautiful, lightly smoked taste of the whisky barrels.
