An Imperial Baltic Porter with Chicory Root Coffee to celebrate Baltic Porter Day 2022 - 21st January

During the long dark nights of the Baltic Winter, the brewers gather to honour their favourite beer style for Baltic Porter Day. Traditional Estonian flavours of rye and black bread are layered with robust dark chocolate and dried fruits in a decedent black beer. The year's edition sees the addition of Sigur (Chicory Root) Coffee for a touch of earthiness and bitter roast, with hints of caramel, dried herbs and foraged mushrooms. 

Baltic Porter is a style that has been an important part of Põhjala's story since day one so this year we're continuing an annual celebration of that beerstyle by taking part of Baltic Porter Day and releasing not just one, but two new beers to give this style the attention it truly deserves:
