Red Wine Barrel Aged Mixed Fermentation Imperial Stout
Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Turning Point Brew Co, this heavyweight Imperial Stout was brewed with nine malts and fermented with Norwegian Kveik yeast. As the third and final beer in this series, we filled a single red wine barrel with the stout and introduced our Flanders Red mixed culture. The beer then spent two years ageing in barrel. The result is complex and deep, with layers of chocolate, cherry, red wine, oak and rounded out by a touch of balsamic vinegar.
