The Amuse series is back with a belated bang!
Our Wild Beer take on the classic Belgian Kriek involves barrels, blending and fresh English cherries. The cherries are freshly picked for us direct from the farm, then de-stemmed and hand crushed at the brewery.
By infusing the chosen blend with 1.5 tonnes of whole cherries, it delivers a briskly tart and fruity beer with a hint of almond to finish. The result is an amalgamation of complexities and layers from the variety of different barrels used
This is a funky barrel and foudre-aged beer which has been re-fermented on a massive 1500kgs of fresh Kentish and Somerset cherries! It provides a depth reminiscent of a cherry wine with a low and delicate carbonation. The barrels were blended onto the macerated cherries for ageing. The beer was a massive team effort with every single person at the brewery pulling together to help de-stem and prep the fruit!
